Otherwise, the music is very nice :) Regardding mods, there are plenty of starships to download on the internet to make this game worth getting. The music is nicely performed and is nice to listen to, but it is way too slow and soft for a game centered around starship combat and operations. However, unfortunately, it doesn't fit the mood of the game very well. At the very least, the game makes you think. Each starship has it's own unique hard points and arcs for weapons, so strategically lining up your shots is a must for victory. However the game is set up in a nice manor, and the thought behind it is incredible. Not to say that it isn't bad acting, it's just that you tend to hear the same voices again and again and again. Even more so is the repetitive voice acting. However, starships move too much like the capital ships they are, and therefore combat can sometimes be long and drawn out. Gamers can follow the progress of Bridge Commander 2’s development by going to the game’s website, and can be included in the Alpha or Beta tests by pledging at least $50.Definitely one of the better Star Trek games out there, Bridge Commander certainly does put you in direct command of a starship. The Kickstarter campaign will end on August 22, 2014, at which point they will need to have reached their goal of at least $70,000. However, this game will not be affiliated with CBS or Totally Entertainment (the development studio for the original game). This no risk promise includes a written blessing from CBS, who own the rights to everything related to Star Trek’s primary universe. With so much work already put into this game through volunteer hours, Kenneth promises on the Kickstarter page that there is virtually no risk. Depending on the success of the campaign, the team will quickly expand to include writers, graphic artists, and likely a few more programmers. Initially, only one developer, Kenneth Emerson, was working on it, but that has expanded to a team of three. – Character progression, skills, and traitsīridge Commander 2 will be a fan-made, “truly free to play” game, and has been under development for the past four years. Instead of a sequel, it’s better to consider it a spiritual successor that recreates the original game with several different new and improved features. It was a truly unique game that allowed players to know what it felt like to sit in the Captain’s chair, and send out commands to raise shields, fire phasers and photon torpedoes, and even focus repair teams on damaged systems of the ship.
